The Geauga U8 Rising Stars Game is an exciting showcase for the finest recreational soccer talent in Geauga County at the end of the Spring season. Specifically designed for top U8 rec players born in 2016 or 2017, this event provides a platform for these young athletes to display their skills and enjoy a day full of soccer festivities. Coaches or parents can nominate players.

The day is packed with engaging activities, including games, tournament-style play, and skill challenges, all aimed at enhancing their love for the game and celebrating their seasonal achievements. Each participant will be gifted a special t-shirt to commemorate the event. The primary aim is to promote soccer in Geauga County and ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for all involved.

  • Eligibility: Open to all U8 rec players born in 2016 or 2017

  • Nomination Process: Players can be nominated by coaches or parents

  • This event is offered at no cost to players, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors.

  • Have your player prepared to play soccer! This means a soccer ball, cleats, shinguards, soccer socks, and a water bottle.

  • Coaches and parents are eligible to nominate a player. Nominate your player on the nomination form or contact event organizers.

  • This event is for U8 players born in 2016 or 2017. Most players will be currently playing in a rec league in Geauga County.

  • We will still play in the rain but will postpone or cancel due to thunder or lightning. Parents/guardians will be contacted in the event of changes.

  • Absolutely! A detailed schedule of events will be shared prior to the event with all participants to help you plan your day.

  • Food and drinks are encouraged. We may have snacks available for players.
